Rise of the Tomb Raider Hitting Xbox One X on 7 November

Square Enix have revealed that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be getting an upgrade to support the Xbox One X from 7 November.

The Xbox One X version will include support for Native 4K resolution, HD and Dolby Atmos true 3D sound. For anyone who currently owns Rise of the Tomb raider on Xbox One, the updates will be pushed via a patch, timed to coincide with the launch of the Xbox One X.

Players will be able to choose form three different visual modes:

  • Native 4K: (full 3840 by 2160) for highest fidelity resolution
  • Enriched Visuals for stunning graphic upgrades
  • High Frame Rate for the smoothest possible gameplay

The following enhancements will also be coming:

  • HDR display support for more vibrant and accurate color representation technology
  • Spatial audio support, including Dolby Atmos, for true 3D audio
  • Enhanced texture resolution for Lara Croft, NPCs, and environments, leveraging additional memory offered by the Xbox One X
  • Improved anti-aliasing for immersive realistic details
  • Improved volumetric lights
  • Improved reflections
  • Enhanced foliage
  • Upgraded polygonal detail
  • Amplified texture filtering
