Daisy Kent Opens Up About Rekindled Romance Following Bachelor Exit

Daisy Kent, known for her time on The Bachelor, has confirmed she’s found love again — this time with a familiar face from her college days.

The 25-year-old reality TV personality revealed that she’s now in a relationship with Thor Herbst, someone she originally dated during university. While their first romance was short-lived, they remained close friends in the years that followed.

Speaking on the Scrubbing In podcast with Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad, Daisy shared, “We didn’t date for very long, but we stayed really good friends afterward. Our college friend group was always tight-knit, and it just ended up happening the way it did.”

Reflecting on why things didn’t work out the first time, Daisy was candid. “He broke up with me. We were both very much in that college mindset — wanting to have fun, not really ready for anything serious. Honestly, it was the best decision for both of us at the time.”

Their story took a turn after Daisy’s season with Joey Graziadei aired. Viewers will recall that Daisy chose to step away from the tennis coach, knowing he intended to give his final rose to Kelsey Anderson, now his fiancée.

After the show wrapped, Thor decided to reconnect with Daisy. “It wasn’t until everything with the show was finished that we thought, ‘Let’s try this again,’” she said. “And now we’re giving it a proper shot — and it’s going really well.”

Daisy had hinted at her return to dating on a previous episode of The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast, and her relationship with Thor was later confirmed. Subtle clues about their romance even made their way onto her social media.

Despite the buzz surrounding her new relationship, Daisy sees it as a natural progression of her life. “I know it seems like a big deal to everyone else,” she said. “But to me, it doesn’t feel that way. I’ve known him for years. He’s always been a good mate. I dated other people before going on the show, and it’s been over for a while now. Just because things didn’t work out on TV doesn’t mean I shouldn’t move on and enjoy my life.”

Still, she admitted she’s not entirely sure how public they’ll be about their relationship moving forward. “I’m still figuring that out,” she explained. “There’s this feeling that I owe people all the details about my life — but I don’t, really.”

As for how Thor is coping with the sudden spotlight? Daisy says he’s taking it in stride. “He’s super supportive of everything I want to do,” she said. “But he never saw this coming, so when articles started popping up, it was definitely a bit of a shock for him.”
